TENACIOUS THEMIS

HEY YOOOOOO

I'm currently blogging from the Timba's chalet and tonight's the last night. I only came to the chalet on the second day(5th) because I have to report to school on the 4th at 4.30pm and the 5th at 10am. 

While I was on the way to Kembangan to meet my amazing race group mates, a sudden wave of dread and anxiety washed over me. I was doubting. I was thinking if I should go or not - should I head back home and give this chalet a miss sice I wasn't feeling well surviving with only 1.5-2hours of sleep the morning before? Or should I go and meet my fellow Timba family? 

I figured, since I'm making Timba my family, making this - today, a new start to my poly life (since year one wasn't even good for me), I should just go ahead, bite the bullet and try to make as many new friends as possible. 

Everything started off a little awkward at first because I knew none of them and I do not have any friends who were in the same sub-tribe as me (they either went to another group or they weren't really committed to these kind of stuff). Things started to change when I started talking to Joanne and YinTon while on the way to the chalet. Then at the chalet, most of them (Nicole, Glacia, Mersalah, YeeShien, Sabrina, Ysabelle, Reann, etc) started approaching me. After the dinner, we all gathered for an "Appreciation Night" whereby we write appreciative message for each other and I was officially welcomed by the Themis/Timba family.

At that moment when all was cheering and welcoming me, I was feeling so much at that same instance. I was overwhelmed(positively) with a pack full of emotions - I was so touched, shy, warmed, on seventh heaven, all-in-one. I appreciate the hand-written messages by each of them and the fuzzy, warm welcome. 

It was OTOT afterwards so a bunch of us went out to the playground to play and relieve some of our childhood memories...until all were drained off from energy to run and play so we sat in what I called, The Circle of Trust and had HTHT(Heart-to-heart talk), yes, when I've only just met them, yes, when I've only known them for less than 24 hours.

Anyway, we went one round talking about what we want to achieve or get from being a Themis SC for BAOC '14. I was thinking reallllllll hard because I wanted to give a different, solid answer when it was my turn. When my turn came, I just blurt out something I've never dared to share or tell anyone, not in that manner and definitely not to anyone, but I did anyway.... I felt better, because I've finally got it off my chest and that it's a turning-point for me(I hope), and I felt better, because of the comforting hands that fell on my fidgety arms, telling me that they'd be there, the comforting words I heard, the comforting thought of having this new, big, loving family. I could still tear up now that I'm recounting that moment.

I'm looking forward.

I'm ready to get to know each and everyone of them. 

I'm ready for that turning-point. 

Anyway, after that we went back to the chalet and got ready for supper and sleep.

These sentences you are about to read were the first few sentences I typed out before I even started elaborating on the chalet because I wanted to remember all these little things my fellow Themisians had done for me before I close my eye, ending the day off.

These little things may be really tiny, but they came with things so big, so genuine - Happiness, Friendship. 

Joanne lied to me and I bought her lies damn.

YinTon is wise, first few who talked to me.

Poo said hi enthusiastically.

Seng Yang or Seng Tiong said hi too.

Danielle is bad with names.

Kelly looks fierce.

Angel is cute.

Henry and his laughter, I kennut.

Nicole and I clicked quite well, I like.

Marsella is a very special name.

So does Glacier.

Tinghui and Joseph are two sweet little love birds.

I saw Dawn hmm. 

YuenTing made sure I was okay. 

Melvin spat on me when he "PFFT" at Nicole and I. 

Justin said he was Byzantine's mascot. 

WeiXiang loves to fart.

Crystal told me she and I have the same watch.

I played cards with Reann, Nicole, Joanne, YinTon, Sabrina, Abel and Ian.

Ian is a nice guy.

Sabrina is so bad at Big2.

Abel and I were so awkward though.

Reann's laughter is so cute.

I played blind mice and police and thief with Bernard, Barnard, Angel, Ysabelle, Seng Tiong, Poo, Abel, Kelly, Reann, Julian, a girl whose name starts with an 'A' and the others.
Bernard keeps sabotaging me.
I can't remember a lot because it was dark.

We had HTHT - circle of trust.

Rush is also from BS.

Phylicia was unwell, what happened? 

Charmaine is like a mummy to all.

Hanxin can sing.

Brandon just gave up his sleeping bag for me. 

Sabrina just gave up her bolster she "booked" so that I can have a pillow. 

Yixin just asked if I had space to sleep because I'm sitting up(blogging). 

Ysabelle came and asked if I wanted to talk, I opened up to her, I had a great talk, it was a wonderful ending to all these.

P/S Sorry if I forgot/left out some, I'm kinda bad with names and faces, so.... :( I'll try and I can't wait for prep!!!!
